Escapade Scholarship

escapade_conTwo bits of news about the Escapade Scholarship:
First, this year's recipient is Dawn (ixchel55), and we're looking forward to meeting her! Dawn has had a rough few years, yet managed to stay positive, and coming to Escapade will be her first foray out into a "real life" fannish event.
Second, and here's the tough part, we're asking for contributions to help make this happen for Dawn, and for other people we'd like to give some support to this year.
I know, this is a tough time to be asking people for money, every charity and political outfit in the world is constantly asking for money, but think of it this way -- if you make a contribution to the Escapade Scholarship fund, you see a tangible result -- you get to meet and talk to the person(s) you're helping and have fun with them at the con!
Any contribution helps, and we're grateful for everything that comes in.
