New Escapade 2017 Website Launched!

The Escapade 2017 website is now open. If you haven’t registered, now is the time! Share about Escapade, add your fandoms and social media info to your attendee account, and check out the new site. Brownies for the first 5 attendees who spot and report a mistake.

Escapade Hotel Link is Active

We’re happy to announce that our new hotel, the Embassy Suites LAX NORTH, is open for reservations. The Embassy Suites LAX NORTH features a host of new amenities, including spacious suites with separate sleeping and sitting rooms. Because of this, the hotel sells out regularly. They’ve set aside both king and double-queen suites, and have created a link for Escapade attendees to use to book their rooms.

REASONS TO BOOK EARLY

1. They worked hard to help us make this hotel work for you, and keep our room block at a number we could make. If you’re booking a room before Thursday night, or after Sunday night, the convention rate won’t show up when booking. As long as you book early, don’t worry. Once you book your room, you can call the hotel (see info at the Escapade site) and they’ll honor the convention rate if they aren’t too near capacity.


2. There happen to be two Embassy Suites hotels in the area. Use the North Star to guide you (or whatever nemonic you love) and ignore any other Embassy Suites. If you’re attending Escapade, you want the Embassy Suites LAX NORTH.

Because the hotel sells out often, it’s especially important to book early this year. Please share this news throughout your social media sites. 

Guess Who's Coming to Escapade

There’s no guessing involved, actually. The Escapade 2017 web site lets you see who’s registered already, and lets registered attendees share more information to make the convention and the stalk– the meeting new potential fan friends–all the more exciting. You can see who’s in what you maybe thought was a “fandom of one.” The social media icons are are live links, so you can get to know people who share your fandoms, if you wish.

And that’s not all, folks! While you’re filling out the information that will determine your badge name and what you share with the world, you can decide how you’ll receive news about the convention. Escapade members can receive news via our groups,  our Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook pages, or via individual emails. Check your preferences at https://escapadecon.net
