What should I bring to Escapade?

Los Angeles weather in early March can be unpredictable. Some years it’s rainy and chilly, some years it’s warm and sunny. As of 3/2, the prediction is for warm and sunny. HOWEVER, this can change. We highly recommend checking weather.com before making final clothing choices and closing your suitcase. Also, when planning your wardrobe and looking at those wonderfully slash explicit tees you own, remember that we’re not the only event going on in a large hotel, and let that guide your choices.
In general, Escapade is not a cosplay intensive con, but this doesn’t mean people don’t wear costumes. If you love costuming and wearing your costumes, feel free to do so.
This year the Friday Night Party theme is “Red Carpet”, but tuxes and gowns are not required dress.
In addition to comfortable clothes and shoes, you may want to bring your own power strip and extension cords. Even hotels that think they are geared towards a technologically savvy traveler really aren’t up to the challenge of a fan who might need to charge a laptop, phone, and iPod #1 while reviewing footage on her flip and maybe listening to iPod #2 – without unplugging every lamp in the room.
If you have fannish items that you want to re-home, don’t forget our Swap Table! Bring your well loved items and maybe go home with some new-to-you things.
