The Bra is Your Friend

adonnchaidWe're reprising our field trip to Aphrodite's, the fabulous lingerie and "toy" store in Ventura.
Why, you ask, would we want to go to a lingerie store?
The real question is, why go with a group, and the answer is easy. Letting somebody fit you for a bra is embarrassing, especially for the vast majority of us who don't look like Victoria's Secret models. But going in a group to a store like Aphrodite's, where all they do is foundation garments, we can give each other the moral support we need.
And what's the big deal about fitting a bra, you ask? Another easy answer. How many of us say things like: the underwire hurts, my back hurts, my shoulders hurt, my ribs hurt, etc, etc? All of that can be solved by having someone who knows and understands how to fit a bra, and that's what they do at Aphrodite's. They also specialize in fitting the larger folks amongst us.
Having a bra that fits right makes you feel good, it makes you look good, and knowing that you look good is priceless. Last year, a few people said that finally having a properly fitted bra was a "life changing" experience, and it really can feel that way.
Speaking of price, a well-made, well-fitted bra is not the cheapest thing you can buy, but it's like having good shoes, if it doesn't fit right, it makes your whole body miserable.
Our field trip will be on Friday, we'll meet in the hotel bar at 5:00 PM and walk the three blocks to Aphrodite's. If you want to go but walking is out of the question, let us know ASAP so we can wrangle transport.
Also, if you want to go just to look at their "toy" selection, that's fine, too *g*
